About

With over two decades of expertise in higher education, Dr. Tasawar Abbas serves as a Professor of Physics at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI). He has built a vital portfolio of 30 specialized papers across basic science and engineering journals, detailing advancements in superdense coding, cavity QED, quantum sensing and accuracy limits, and quantum networks.

Driven by the future of technology, he is also an invited speaker on quantum philosophy and how it will lead the upcoming technological revolution in computing. His collaborative spirit shines through his mentorship of more than 60 MS and BS projects, where he trains students coming from diverse academic backgrounds, including Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering.

To translate theory into practice, Dr. Abbas guides his research group through an active partnership with the tech sector via QLogiX (Qbit Logix), focusing on the technological ends extracted from quantum mechanical-based systems, such as hardware-efficient quantum circuits.

This commercial initiative runs alongside his broader academic linkages with institutions in China, Qatar, and the UAE, as well as collaborations with the National Institute of Lasers & Optronics (NILOP).
