About

An MS Physics student at COMSATS University Islamabad, Amad works in the regime where light does the computing and the communicating. His research spans quantum information, quantum optics, and photonic computing, with a focus on interferometer-based protocols.

He began with counterfactual quantum communication, simulating how information can be sent with nested Mach-Zehnder interferometers without a photon ever traveling through the channel, and now explores how quantum algorithms can be used in photonic settings for information processing.

Outside work, he trains at the gym and wrestles with philosophical questions, believing that nature gives you hints to stay curious. That curiosity pays off when a single photon's choice of path decides the whole answer.
